\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 English students at AHSS are going to find themselves in dynamic and engaging classrooms that will help them learn not only about themselves but also the world around them.\u00a0 Our booklist is constantly growing and changing to represent the diverse cultures, interests, and ideas that are relevant to today\u2019s youth. Our students are given the opportunity to explore a variety of different mediums including short stories, poetry, Shakespeare, media, documentaries, and graphic novels. \u00a0Students will share their knowledge through written expression, meaningful oral communication, and analysis of multi-media.\u00a0 We work towards building critical thinking\u00a0 and the individual literacy skills of students throughout our classes.\u00a0 The English department is the place to come to ignite a passion for the written word.<\/span><\/p>\n

A minimum of 4 English credits is the requirement for graduation. Additional English credits will be considered elective credits.<\/span><\/p>\n
