FJ McElligott Intermediate Secondary School is located in the town of Mattawa, Ontario, and it is the home of the FJ McElligott Voyageurs!<\/p>\n

Educational programming at FJ McElligott is offered from Grade 7 to Grade 12.\u00a0 We offer a regular English track system, as well as a French Immersion track system.\u00a0 Student support for learning is offered by quality, experienced teachers.\u00a0 Special supports are also available for students who require special education accommodations, and literacy\/ math intervention at either the Intermediate or Secondary level.\u00a0 Along with core subject areas, we offer an array of elective courses in such areas as cooking, drama, music, arts, technological courses, and co-op work placements.\u00a0 We also offer an SHSM Outdoor Education Program for Gr. 11\/12, and an accredited Hockey Canada Skills Academy course for Gr. 9\/10 students.<\/p>\n

FJ McElligott is a vibrant school with extra-curricular activities and special events going on for students of all age levels.\u00a0 Physical Education students are exposed to sports within the school that teach them not only skills, but also how to cooperate as a team member.\u00a0 For those students that enjoy the competitive side to sports, we offer the opportunity to join volleyball, basketball, badminton, baseball, golf, tennis, and track & field.<\/p>\n

Staff and students also organize and participate in special events each year such as the Terry Fox Walk, theatre events, Winter Carnival activities, Blue & Gold spirit days, Indigenous Day, school field trips, and Graduations.<\/p>\n

Nutrition and physical activity are important aspects of the students\u2019 learning abilities.\u00a0 Through partnerships with Community Living, we are able to offer a Student Nutrition Program daily for any\/ all students.<\/p>\n
